"Man with Vegetable Marrows - Stock image" There's just such a goldmine of WTStocks out there that I was inclined to post a bonus round today.

WTStock - Week of 9/3/17s
This series, like everything on this site, took quite the hiatus recently. But I stumbled across this gem and had share. Enjoy "Young businessman injecting chemicals into an apple with Brazilian flag on black background."
Where have I been all summer?
Well, that's an excellent question. I have been to Salt Lake City to see The Book of Mormon. I have been to Jackson, WY to watch the eclipse. I have camped all over Colorado, taken time lapses, flown the drone, gone sailing, moved in with my amazing girlfriend, refreshed creative for the University of Colorado's ALL FOUR : ONE campaign and fell out of a raft in a class IV rapid. But what I clearly haven't been doing is paying attention to my site. I'll try and work on that. Hope your summer has been amazing!

WTSTOCK - WEEK OF 4/16
A lot's happened since I've been away, but one thing hasn't changed - the caliber of your typical stock image. Here we have the appropriate number of ethnically and genderly diverse young folk intently studying a globe on a beach. Mr. Green Collared Shirt is about as serious as you can be about a globe. So serious that I feel like he's acting. Like maybe he's a beachcomber who happened upon this group of millennials and is trying to go unnoticed. Either way, this image is not the same type of absurd image I usually post. Instead, it is quintessentially what is wrong with stock - scenes depicted that are crappy metaphors for some bullet in a powerpoint showing dimwits engaging in an activity about three miles away from real life. Photography's purpose is to reflect upon and contribute to our shared human experience. Stock photography's purpose is to apparently torpedo it. Ok, I'll hop off my soap box now. Happy Friday, all!
University of Colorado TV Shoot
Hey all! Sorry I've been absent lately. I've been knee deep in production for the University of Colorado's new TV spots and Friday was our first shoot day. I decided to bring my camera along and see what kind of hero and BTS shots I could come up with while we filmed this amazing father/daughter ice cream scene at a CU women's lacrosse game. I gotta say, there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your script come to life so perfectly. Being an director is kind of fun; being an art director with such outstanding actors, director and crew is amazing. By the way, CU spanked Standford 13-8.
Heres a gallery of all the good stuff from Friday:
A Top Notch Video Edit
Hey all. I've been super deep in video production land for new TV spots I'm working on for the University of Colorado. So, in that mindset, I thought I'd share a video I saw a while back that has an insanely killer vibe and edit energy. I'll be back with more still stuff soon. In the meantime, enjoy!
The Best Piece of Gear
What's the best piece of gear I carry around with me? If really pressed, I'd have to say it's this. (I have one that is similar - was a piece of tchotchke a friend gave me from his company.) Combine that with a beefy portable battery pack and you will never worry about your charge level again - promise. I got plenty of great gear, but sometimes it's the $5 piece of genius that saves the day!
